Rhizome means root: in this series touch and vision are confronted with the contrasting textures and surfaces that evoke the subterranean power of the natural world.
This table, with its amorphous and organic shapes, is an upside-down sculpture in which the resin of the supporting surface reveals the presence of the bronze at the base, disclosing an almost primordial volume, guardian of a visual and tactile experience.
The Rhizome table was first presented by the 88 Gallery, London, during Masterpiece.
