My art and design research focuses on the relation between geometric and organic forms, between rough and shiny surfaces. This is the concept at the base of the contemporary functional sculptures of the Selene series.
Through its material, the Selene artworks offer an alchemic experience which reflects an ancestral desire to explore the sacred and sensual aspect of matter. The rough, perforated surfaces evoke the erosive action of the sea, which is influenced by one of the most enduring symbols of mystery we share: the moon.
The Selene Mirror, which has been presented (also by the 88 Gallery) at PAD in Paris and London.
